If the domain registrant no longer wishes to use or renew the domain, it is possible to submit a signed application to the registrar for the deletion of the domain. Since the registrant’s identity must be verified, the application must be signed by an authorized representative, either digitally or manually at our office.
The signed application is sent to the central registry, which initiates a 30-day deletion period. After that, the domain name is placed in quarantine and will be deleted within 24 hours.
Once the quarantine period ends, the domain name becomes available and can be registered by the first applicant who submits a proper request — on a “first come, first served” basis. The easiest way to abandon a domain is simply to not renew it and let it expire.
ATTENTION! If you decide to abandon a registered domain name, the paid registration fee will not be refunded.
