This guide works for Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.
Click the Start button and open Run.
In the text field that appears, type cmd and press the Enter key.
As a result, a black command line window will open. In that window, type the command
ipconfig /all and press Enter.
A large amount of information will be displayed.
It is important to find the section Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:.
Sometimes the section name may include a number, such as Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:.
Under that section, you will find a line Physical Address containing a code made up of letters and numbers,
e.g., 00-1D-60-CA-4C-DA. This code is your computer’s MAC address.
The IP address can also be found in the same section, on the line IP Address, in the format of four numbers
separated by dots, e.g., 192.168.1.147.
