How to install WordPress using the cPanel WordPress Toolkit

From this article, you will know how to quickly and easily install your WordPress site using the WordPress Toolkit in cPanel.

The WordPress Toolkit provides a user-friendly and easy-to-use interface directly within cPanel that you can use to install, configure, and manage WordPress websites.

Installing WordPress

Please, follow these steps to install WordPress using the WordPress Toolkit:

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Click WordPress Toolkit in the DOMAINS section of the cPanel home screen:

3. In the appears WordPress Toolkit page, click Install under InstallationsHow to install WordPress using the cPanel WordPress Toolkit word press toolkit install

Customize your site under Choose installation options:

    • Optionally you can specify a directory in which to install WordPress in the Installation path text box, under General.
      If you want your domain name (for example, https://www.example.com) to go directly to WordPress, make sure the Installation path text box is blank.
    • Specify the title of your site in the Website title text box.
    • Optionally you can select a package of plugins and themes to install in the Plugin/theme set list box.
    • Select the language for the site in the Website language list box.
    • Select the WordPress version you want to install in the Version list box.
      Unless you have a specific reason for not doing so, you should install the current version.
    • Type the username you want to use to log in to the site in the Username text box under WordPress Administrator.
    • Type the password you want to use for the username to log in to the site in the Password text box. Click the eye icon to view the password.
      Make sure you use a strong password! Alternatively, you can click Generate and cPanel will generate a strong random password for you.
    • Type a valid e-mail address in the Email text box. This address will be used to receive update notifications and other news.
    • Optionally you can change the database settings Under Database.
      The database options are for advanced users. You don’t need to change any of them unless you have a special reason to do so.
    • Optionally you can change the settings for WordPress, plugin, and theme updates Under Automatic Update Settings.
      You don’t need to change any of them unless you have a special reason to do so.

5. Click Install and cPanel begins the installation and provides a progress indicator:

7. Once WordPress is installed, you can use the WordPress Toolkit to manage your site.
